Free course every Wednesday 1pm to 2pm for 10 weeks at The Friends Meeting House in South Terrace (opposite Marks & Spencers). Free sandwiches and hot & cold drinks. Alpha is organised by local Christian churches as a course for people seeking answers about the big questions of life, such as "Does God Exist?" Each session starts with a short film covering a different subject and then breaks into small discussion groups. Very informal and the opportunity to explore these matters with others. Everyone is welcome and all questions are encouraged. |

Organised by the Youth Committee, this 10 hour Cycle Relay is taking place at William Parker Sports College from 10am to 8pm. Participants are welcome to camp at the grounds. Teams of five take it in turns to cycle around the sports track. There is no minimum sponsorship. There is also going to be an Easter Egg hunt which is open to the public. The idea behind 1066 Fundraisers was to not only bring the community together, but to also raise money for local charities in a fun and positive way. Money raised will go to Cancer Research, as well as RSPCA Bluebell Cattery and Mallydams Wood, St Michael's Hospice, Demelza House, and the Sara Lee Trust. To take part, you need to be a member of 1066 Fundraisers - membership is £5 for adults, £2.50 for those under 18, under six is free, and family membership is £12. Members can either fundraise for just one of the charities or can have their money split between them. It's a great way to help local charities.
